Senator Durojaiye is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He was called to the Nigerian Bar (No 5010) in 1979. He was also a banker, a seasoned administrator and a graduate of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS, Kuru). NIPSS is the highest center for policy formulation and leadership training in Nigeria. Senator Durojaiye put in 35 years of meritorious service in the public sector of Nigeria including 28 years as a top Director of the Central Bank and the National Mint. He also attended professional courses in money and banking with IMF (International Monetary Fund), the Federal Reserve System in the U.S.A and the City of London University between 1964 and 1982. In 1992 he ran for President of Nigeria on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). He was elected a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999-2003) where he made a mark as one of the most respected lawmakers of the country.
