Some of our clients include Central Bank of Nigeria, First Bank, Union Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank to name just a few. We have handled receiverships for some of them, perfection of securities, tripartite mortgage agreements, loan syndication amongst many other services. We were one of the firms briefed by the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) to wind up some of the failed banks (namely Lead Bank, Metropolitan Bank and Gulf bank) who could not recapitalize up to the twenty five billion naira (N25B) threshold as required by CBN. We were also the sole legal adviser/ consultant to one of the biggest manufacturing industries in Nigeria i.e. the West African Portland Cement Co between 1995 – 1997. At present, we are handling a three billion naira (N3B) arbitration dispute for one of the above mentioned clients.
